Eleventh of Every Month, 3/11/2010

By Art

On March 11, 2010, members of S.F. Truth Action met at their usual spot (Powell & Market) to once again spread knowledge and truth regarding the events of September 11, 2001. As a first-time participant of this monthly event, I could not be more pleased and impressed with the efforts of such a dedicated group of individuals. Arriving on scene alone and not knowing quite what to expect, I introduced myself to the first person I saw and quickly found myself helping another member hold a banner that reads: “WTC 7: Total COLLAPSE to a pile of RUBBLE. Ask YOURSELF ‘How?’” As I stood there, chatting with new friends and complete strangers, I couldn’t help but reflect on how powerful a message this particular banner sends to those passing by. In my experience, WTC 7 seems to be one of the most effective ways to grab attention and pique interest. When people learn that (according to the “official” story) a 47-story high-rise steel structure, not hit by any aircraft, somehow collapsed into its own footprint at nearly free-fall speed, they typically have questions.

In part of a statement entitled “An Appeal to Firefighters, Present and Past from a retired FDNY Lieutenant”, Anton Vodvarka emphasizes the importance of examining WTC 7:

“Trade Tower #7 by itself is the ‘smoking gun’. Not hit by an aircraft, with only a few relatively small fires, it came down in a classic crimp and implosion, going straight into its basement, something only very precise demolition can accomplish, which takes days if not weeks to prepare. The 9-11 Commission didn’t even mention it, and F.E.M.A. actually stated they DIDN’T KNOW WHY IT COLLAPSED AND LEFT IT AT THAT. Brothers, I know that the implications of the above are hard, almost unthinkable, but the official explanation is utter nonsense, and three hundred and forty three murdered brothers are crying out for justice. Demand a genuine investigation into the events of September 11!”

Vodvarka concludes his statement by pointing to the cornerstone of the 9/11 Truth Movement: the demand for a genuine and independent investigation into the events of September 11, 2001. On that day, brutal attacks claimed the lives of nearly 3,000 innocent U.S. civilians and many more have died since as a result of breathing toxic air. Today, the federal government has failed to address and refuses to address a handful of serious questions with serious implications. Only when these questions are answered can justice be served. Until then, the 9/11 Truth Movement will march on with a relentless pursuit of truth.

I would like to personally thank all who attended this event for the effort, organization, enthusiasm, kindness, and courage I witnessed. It was an honor working with all of you, and I look forward to seeing you again on April 11th!
